Jurassic Coast Challenge

All the dinosaurs have gone hopefully and all that’s left is an amazing rugged coastline to explore.

My next running adventure will be the Votwo Jurassic coast ultra. 26 miles a day for 3 days along the amazing Jurassic coastline, a total of 78 miles.

In 2017 I did 1 day of the 3 day challenge and it is a challenge. A last minute idea and also to see what I had to deal with when I came to do all 3 days.

This one I will be joined by Scott Phillips and Richard Jones. For Scott and myself it will be our first ever multi day event with Richard having previously completed the BTU Jungle ultra in 2016.

Over the three days we will be running via these destinations –

◦Day one – Charmouth – Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy (HQ)

◦Day two – Portland Ferry Road – Lulworth cove

◦Day three – Lulworth cove – Shell Bay

The Jurassic Coast Line is well known for its awesome views and never ending hills. Every day takes in a variety of terrain from coastal footpath to beaches and tracks.

This event will take me to places I have never been before, especially marathons back to back. I’m really looking forward to it and being one step closer to the Jungle.
